# Audit log & visitor confirmation

## Audit log & visitor confirmation

Every consequential action is logged.

Replai asks for approval before consequential actions run.

### When does approval appear?

Approval appears for actions that change data, charge money, or have other meaningful side effects.

The prompt explains what will happen in plain language.

If there is a charge, Replai shows that too.

### What happens when you approve or decline?

Nothing runs until you approve.

If you decline, the action is canceled.

Replai never claims an action ran before it actually did.

### When can an action skip approval?

Read-only lookups can run without approval.

Use that only when the action has no side effects.

### How is tool output treated?

Tool output is treated as data.

It is not treated as instructions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://replai-1.gitbook.io/replai-docs/trust-and-privacy/audit-log-and-visitor-confirmation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
